Hermitage police searching for moose statue

HERMITAGE, Pa. (WYTV) — A moose sculpture is on the loose in Mercer County and police are asking for help in tracking it down.

Hermitage police said someone from Cottage Gardens on East State Street reported that the moose was missing around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. The moose is made of wire mesh covered in burlap sacks and was standing outside the Cottage Gardens business on East State Street in Hermitage, but went missing overnight.

The moose is 5 feet tall, 8 feet long and weighs 60 pounds. Anyone with information on the moose’s whereabouts can call Hermitage police at (724) 983-6780.
