Cafaro Foundation donates $100,000 to Regional Chamber

NILES, Ohio (WYTV) — The Cafaro Foundation has awarded a $100,000 grant to the Youngstown-Warren Regional Chamber of Commerce Foundation.

The grant is dedicated to bolstering the Chamber’s economic development efforts in Trumbull County, according to a news release from the Cafaro Corp. The company also gave the chamber a $100,000 grant in 2012.

According to the Regional Chamber, since 1991, it has made 7,137 visits to retain and expand businesses, and has completed 259 projects resulting in more than $2.5 billion in investment and 9,965 new jobs. It also has helped retain 20,924 existing jobs.

The Cafaro Foundation is a charitable entity established by the Cafaro family in loving memory of William M. Cafaro, the founder of the real estate development and management company that bears his name. Since its inception in 1996, the Cafaro Foundation has awarded millions of dollars in grants.
