YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) — An organization dedicated to sustaining a collaborative structure for the arts and culture community is asking for public input on the future of the organization.
Power of the Arts strives to have the area’s arts and culture community effectively participate in the region’s revitalization and economic development to improve the quality of life.
The Town Hall meeting will be held at 3 p.m. July 11 at Bliss Recital Hall in Bliss Hall on the Youngstown State University campus. The meeting is being held one day before the two-day Summer Festival of the Arts on and around campus.
At the meeting, people will:
- Hear findings from the Power of the Arts June 2014 arts and culture organizations and artists survey.
- Make their voice heard in planning for the future of POA.
- Receive an update on POA’s efforts in Columbus.
- Meet community peers committed to the “power of the arts” in the Mahoning Valley.
