Large water main break could cause delays

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – A water main break along busy Market Street in Youngstown is causing issues for motorists.

The break happened around midnight Monday near Williamson Avenue. Police noticed the break after seeing water bubbling onto the road and large areas of ponding water stretched across the street.

The water caused part of Market Street to buckle and it took some time before crews got on the scene to make repairs.

An area of Market Street between Kenmore Avenue and Cleveland Street is blocked off. The detour could affect the commute to the downtown area. One lane is blocked southbound coming out of the downtown area.

Repairs should be complete by Tuesday afternoon.
