YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – Police have arrested the man accused in the city’s most recent homicide.
Officers with the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Prince Jennings, 29, Tuesday afternoon in Farrell.
Jennings was wanted in connection with a pair of shooting incidents last month, including the June 28 homicide of Shannon Strosnider, 33, at a house on Tod Lane on Youngstown’s north side. Police said more than a dozen bullet holes were found in the front door of the house.
At the time of that incident, police already had suspected Jennings in a shooting the day before on Wick Avenue.
After being questioned by police, Jennings was taken to the hospital to check on a pre-existing gunshot wound. Youngstown Police Chief Robin Lees said Jennings was brought back to Ohio by the marshals on a federal probation violation and he eventually will be taken to the Mahoning County Jail.
Lees also said a woman, Tyronda Brown, was arrested with Jennings in Farrell on a complicity charge. She eventually will be extradited.
