YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – Bond was set at $40,000 for Jamar Houser at his arraignment in Youngstown Municipal Court on Friday.
Houser was charged with having weapons under disability and improper handling of a firearm in a vehicle. He was arrested Wednesday after a woman told police he shot at her in the area of Market Street and Midlothian Boulevard.
Police located Houser standing near his vehicle in the driveway of a home on Hudson Avenue. Officers found a black handgun lying on the driver’s side seat of the vehicle.
He was arrested at the scene.
Houser was accused of killing 80-year-old Angeline Fimognari in the parking lot of St. Dominic’s Church on Jan. 23, 2010, during a robbery attempt.
Investigators learned after two years that Duane Colvin, 32, killed Fimognari when they exhumed Colvin’s body and matched his palm print to one found on Fimognari’s car.
Houser is on probation for intimidating a witness in the murder case. He is currently on probation.
Duane Colvin was fatally shot Sept. 24. His body was found in a field on Ferndale Avenue.
