Giuriceo wins comeback bid

PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania (WYTV) – Campbell native Jake Giuriceo’s comeback bid was a successful one. “The Bull” defeated Travis Hartman by way of a fourth round TKO at the Rivers Rumble IV Friday night at the Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh.

“You know there was a little rust in the first round. I know it didn’t look like that, but I felt like that for me,” Giuriceo said. “You know everything just came together. you know ray mancini told me a long time ago, it’s not what you do in the gym. you work hard, but it’s about how you feel that night and what comes out that night.”

It was Giuriceo’s first fight in nearly two years, as he worked his way back from a detached retina.

With the victory, “The Bull” improves to 17-2-1 overall with four knockouts.  Hartman drops to 12-20.
