HUBBARD, Ohio (WYTV) – Four people were taken to the hospital late Thursday afternoon after a pickup truck they were in went out of control on Interstate 80 in Hubbard.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Karen Tuszynski of Corry, Pa. was traveling west on I-80 near the rest area when she said she hit a bump in the pavement before a bridge which caused the 20-foot trailer she was hauling to careen out of control.
The truck and trailer landed in the median, smashing the trailer.
Tuszynski, her husband Kenneth and two children, ages 12 and 15, were on their way to Hartville, Ohio for a flea market. The trailer they were hauling contained miscellaneous items that were strewn across the roadway.
All four suffered minor injuries. Kenneth Tuszynski and the two children were transported by ambulance to a hospital as a precaution. Karen Tuszynski suffered a back injury.
Karen Tuszynski was cited for failure to control.
