Fallon, Nevada (WYTV) – Cleveland native Willie Nelson continued his dominance of the junior middleweight division Friday, but it didn’t come easy. Nelson went up against Luis Grajeda as apart of ESPN’s Friday Night Fight’s at the Churchill County Fairgrounds and won by unanimous decision after ten rounds.
It was a back and forth fight, with Grajeda making a late charge, but in the end, Nelson was more efficient. Nelson landed 119 punches on 387 attempts (31 percent), compared to 61/389 from Grajeda.
Nelson extends his career record to 23-1-1, with 13 knockouts. Grajeda falls to 17-3-2, also with 13 career strikeouts.
