North Lima industrial park fire closes four businesses

NORTH LIMA, Ohio (WYTV) – All of the businesses inside the industrial building that caught fire Tuesday in North Lima remained closed on Wednesday.

Four businesses were housed inside the building on South Avenue, including Industrial Paper Shredders, Buckeye Civil Design, Green Building Pros and Hazel Realty and Roller Reprographics.

Workers for Industrial Paper Shredders, where it is believed the fire started, were busy salvaging what they could on Wednesday, but did not want to appear on camera. They said all of the tenants inside the building had salvaged what they could and had closed up business for now.

Springfield Township and Beaver Township firefighters responded to the site about 4 p.m. Firefighters said they had a tough time fighting the fire from the inside because of the heavy smoke and machinery inside.

The blaze is still under investigation.
