Back at the Pack plans blockbuster 3rd season

WARREN, Ohio (WYTV) – The Back at the Pack entertainment series is returning for its third season at Packard Music Hall, but this season will be filled with more blockbuster shows.

Back at the Pack is operated by Sunrise Entertainment, which also runs the summer concert series at the Warren Community Amphitheatre. Sunrise Entertainment is owned by Ken Haidaris, who also owns the Sunrise Inn restaurant in Warren.

The season kicks off with a double bill of singers Don McLean and Judy Collins on Oct. 10. The following weekend will bring Vicki Lawrence & Mama: A Two-Woman Show on Oct. 18. Lawrence played the iconic Thelma Harper (Mama) on the “Carol Burnett Show” and the sitcom “Mama’s Family.”

On Nov. 10, Broadway comes to Packard Music Hall as the smash musical “Mamma Mia!” will be presented one night only on Nov. 10. The hit musical is based on the songs of Abba.

The Temptations will bring their R&B style to Warren on Nov. 16. Singer Michael McDonald will present a Christmas show on Dec. 10.

The Blue Man Group, which combines music, comedy and multimedia, will perform two shows, on Jan. 13 and 14.

Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood, two of America’s most beloved comedic personalities who appeared for more than nine years on the improvised television game show “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” will perform Feb. 7.

“STOMP”, the international percussion sensation, will make a one-night stop in Warren on Feb. 25.

“Flashdance: The Musical,” based on the movie of the same name,  tells the inspiring and unforgettable story of Alex Owens, a Pittsburgh steel mill welder by day and a bar dancer by night with dreams of one day becoming a professional performer. It will be presented March 23.

“Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story” will be presented April 1. Now in its 25th year, the show has been called the “World’s Most Successful Rock n Roll Musical.”

Time Traveller, a Moody Blues tribute band, will play April 25 with the backing of the Chagrin Falls Studio Orchestra. That will be the final show of the 2014-15 season.
