EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio (WYTV) – Nurses at East Liverpool City Hospital have reached a tentative contract agreement with hospital administrators.
Both sides met Wednesday and settled on a new deal, but the details were not released. The nurses will vote on the contract within the next few days.
Two weeks ago, a tentative deal had been reached between hospital administrators and the negotiating team for the East Liverpool Nurses Association, but the union rejected the offer.
Contract have been ongoing for months and the nurses issued a 10-day strike notice in May that was later rescinded. Hospital administrators said previously that rejection of a previous offer prevented a planned merger between River Valley Health Partners and Humility of Mary Health Partners.
