Port Authority now has full board

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – Mahoning County Commissioners on Thursday filled the final vacancy on the Western Reserve Port Authority board.

Dave Mosure, an engineer with the firm MS Consultants, said he is ready to move forward. He replaces Richard Schiraldi, who resigned from the board in April after serving as chairman.

He is the third member to join the board in recent weeks. Trumbull County Commissioners last month appointed Warren businessman Sam Covelli and attorney David Detec, who also replaced members who resigned.

Dissolving the Western Reserve Port Authority was discussed as an option during the summer when the three board members resigned in the spring. The eight-person board helps with economic development. It also oversees operations at the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport.
