Offense leads way for Liberty

Liberty, Ohio (WYTV) – Coming off a close win last week against Niles, the Liberty Leopards welcome the Crestview Rebels to town in a battle of one win one loss teams.

In the first quarter, Liberty’s Brandon Rios got the ball into the endzone from one yard out, putting Liberty up 6-0.

With 6:16 remaining in the first half, Lynn Bowden gave the Leopards a two touchdown lead, calling his own number on a 17 yard touchdown run, running the score to 12-0.

Trailing 19-0 in the second half, Crestview finally broke through on a Zach Hicks four yard touchdown run.

But, the Leopards offense continued to click as Rios took the ball in from five yards out with :51 seconds remaining in the third quarter to make it 26-10 Liberty.

The Rebels would continue to fight, however, scoring with 8:59 remaining in the game to make it 26-18.

Crestview (1-2) will look to get back to their winning ways next week when they travel to East Palestine.

Liberty (2-1) will travel to Champion next week.
