McDonald rolls

McDonald, Ohio (WYTV) – A strong showing on both sides of the ball led the McDonald Blue Devils to a big 35-3 win over visiting Cuyahoga Heights.

After a scoreless first quarter, the Blue Devils broke through on a two yard Cameron Ifft run, making it 7-0.

Later in the quarter, Jake Reckard took it 29 yards for a score, pushing the lead to 14-0.

A Cuyahoga Heights field goal made it 14-3.

In the second half, Caleb Dimery found the endzone from 23 yards out to increase the McDonald lead to 21-3.

With 10:31 remaining in the game, it was Reckard again from five yards out to make it 28-3.

Reckard’s third touchdown of the game, this one from 20 yards out put the Blue Devils ahead 35-3.

McDonald (3-0) will host Mineral Ridge next week.
