BUFFALO, New York (WYTV) – The Youngstown Phantoms are gearing up to start the 20-14 season this Saturday night on the road against Team USA in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Prior to then, the team’s returning leading scorer Kyle Connor showcased his talents at Thursday’s All-American Prospect game.
The exhibition game features the top 42 American-born NHL draft-eligible prospects. Connor is graded as a first-round draft prospect, after leading Youngstown with a team-high 74 points with 31 goals and 43 assists last season. He was also the second-leading scorer in the entire USHL.
“The USHL is a really good league. And, in Youngstown, they do a really good job of developing, and I think my game is just growing each year,” Connor said.
Connor and the Phantoms host Bloomington in the home opener on Saturday October 11th at the Covelli Centre..
