Woman shaken after home invasion

Warren home invasion

WARREN, Ohio (WYTV) – Two armed men forced their way into a home in Warren Thursday.

A woman said she was alone in her house on Edgehill Avenue S.E. about noon when two armed men came into the house, held her down, choked her and ripped off her shirt.

She was able to get away from the suspects and ran out of the house screaming. She began knocking on doors and found a neighbor who called police.

“We heard a bunch of screaming ‘help! help! help!’ We came to the screen door and looked out and there was two gentlemen in the ditch area of the front yard and one had a gun in his hand. And they were taking off running and the girl across the street was half naked from the waist up and she was screaming for help,” the neighbor said.

Police said the suspects ran from the house and “ditched” some clothing in a backyard as they headed towards Youngstown Road.

No arrests have been made.
