Victim in Youngstown shooting has died

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – The victim of a shooting on Youngstown’s south side has died.

Jesse Daviduk, 21, died Thursday from injuries he received from a gunshot wound to the head.

Police continue to investigate the Sept. 15 shooting that happened at the intersection of South Avenue and Dewey Avenue.

Investigators are not naming the 16-year-old suspect.

A witness said she saw a vehicle pull out of the South Avenue Gas Mart and then heard three shots.

According to a report, police interviewed a witness who said he drove Daviduk to the scene of the shooting, with the intent of buying narcotics.

The witness said that upon arriving, a male wearing black shorts and a gray hoodie got into his van, held a gun to Daviduk’s head, and said, “I want everything,” according to the report.

The witness reported speeding away from the scene, hearing a single gunshot and seeing the suspect jump from the vehicle.
