Lowellville rockets past Leetonia

Lowellville, Ohio (WYTV) – Lowellville welcomed Leetonia on a wet Friday night, topping the Bears 38-13 and picking up their fourth win on the season.

Already leading by two scores in the second quarter and with just over a minute remaining in the half, the Rockets’ Van Vanover fielded a punt and returned it to midfield. With the clock ticking Lowellville quarterback Alex Harklerod broke free and picked up 20 yards setting up a field goal try.

The attempt was no good as time expired, but the Rockets wouldn’t need the extra points topping Leetonia 38-13.

Lowellville (4-2) will travel to Wellsville next week.

Leetonia (1-5) will hit the road in week seven to take on Western Reserve.
