Hawk lovers flock to local wildlife center

Hawk at Wildlife Center

EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio (WYTV) — Beaver Creek Wildlife Education Center in East Liverpool got a visit from a few feathery friends on Saturday.

Hawk lovers young and old came out to the center to see a demonstration with these three special hawks. The crowd got a little taste of what it’s like when they go hunting.

Handlers said they just want to educate people about the birds.

“We want them to understand how important birds of pray are, we like for people to understand that eight out 20 birds of pray don’t make it to one-year-old,” said …

They also hope the demonstration will help prevent people from hunting the birds.
