Hermitage Fall Festival raises awareness for disabled

Fall Festival in Hermitage

HERMITAGE, Pa. (WYTV) — A Fall festival in Hermitage helped raise awareness for people with various disabilities.

Whole Life Services started in 2001. One of its goals is self-employment, so people with intellectual and developmental disabilities can make a pay check. It also wants them to work side by side with able-bodied people in everyday jobs.

“It’s time now in 2014 for people with disabilities to not be isolated anymore. Where they are working somewhere in a building without other people around them,” said Ciindy Bogan, CEO of Whole Life Services.

Some of the money raised on Saturday will help pay for year round activities as well as Whole Life Services’ Christmas party.
