State Route 5 in Braceville Township scheduled to re-open

Road work

BRACEVILLE TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WYTV) — Drivers in Trumbull County have one less headache when it comes to travel near Route 5.

After six weeks of detours, Route 5 between 534 and Route 82 in Braceville has reopened.

The roadway was closed due to a collapsed culvert after heavy rains in August. The water from the storms washed out a four-foot section under three of the four lanes there.

The Ohio Department of Transportation filed for an emergency construction project to repair the highway.
