BERLIN CENTER, Ohio (WYTV) – More than 100 people overcame obstacles to help the West Branch Local School District buy new technology.
It’s part of the second annual Warrior Wipeout. Participants ran a 5K race while climbing through tubes and jumping over hay-stacks.
All the money raised through registration fees goes towards the district’s technology fund.
“It is very important with the state pushing to do all state testing online, so they need computers to be able to do that,” said Francie Yarwood, coordinator for Warrior Wipeout.
Last year’s event raised about $9,000. Organizers are hoping this year’s run will exceed that and bring in $10,000 for the school district.
