Big 22 contenders: Week 6

Area standouts continued to rise to the occasion in week number six. And, once again, there are some familiar names filling up the stat sheet. The following are some of those key performers that caught our eyes. They are contenders for the Big 22.

Lisbon’s Josh Liberati lit things up through the air in week six. He tossed for 303 yards and three touchdowns in the Blue Devils 41-35 win over Crestview.

Liberty’s Lynn Bowden also tallied a trio of touchdown passes. He also rushed for 86 yards and returned a punt for a touchdown in the Leopards win over Jefferson.

As usual, Hubbard’s LJ Scott did his damage on the ground. His latest stat-line…291 rushing yards and three touchdowns in a 50-point win over Niles.

Boardman’s Mario Graziani had a strong showing on Friday. 73 rushing yards and an 80-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in an overtime loss to Perry.

Last but not least, Girard’s Jake Ryser carried the load for Indians. He rushed for 144 yards and a touchdown in the Indians seven-point win over Lakeview.
