Family of Yo. Crash victim speaks, police searching for suspect

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – The family of the young woman killed in an accident Monday on Interstate 680 is sharing a picture of their loved one.

Two cars hit 20-year-old Nicole Baird when she got out of her car after running over what turned out to be a bag of leaves.

Her aunt, Patti Camuso, and uncle, John Rosenberg, said the family has received an outpouring of condolences. They hope by sharing this picture, it can lead to the arrest of the driver who hit Baird and then left the scene of the accident.

Police are still asking for anyone who saw anything along Interstate 680 between 5 and 6 a.m. Monday to give them a call.

Police are trying to identify and locate the second driver who hit Baird near the Shirley Road exit of I-680.

Baird’s Facebook wall continues to grow with messages from friends and loved ones.

Camuso confirmed that Baird was pregnant.

Baird graduated from Struthers High School two years ago.
