Sebest’s hat trick powers Poland over LaBrae

Leavittsburg, OH (WYTV) – Senior Carli Sebest scored three goals to help Poland defeat Labrae 5-1 Wednesday at LaBrae High School.

Sebest got the Bulldogs on the board in the first half, giving Poland a 1-0 lead at halftime. And she picked right up where she left off in the second half, scoring two quick goals to make it 3-0.

Macy Diaz and Maggie Sebest also added goals for Poland. Labrae was led by Ashley White, who scored a late penalty kick to get the Vikings on the board.

Both teams begin their Division 2 State Tournament run next week. Poland, the fourth seed in the Austintown District, will host #10 Struthers next Monday at 7 p.m.

#7 LaBrae will play host to #9 Hubbard Monday at 7 p.m. with the winner taking on top seeded Canfield.
