Fitch’s balanced attack rolls over East

Fitch's Tyler Hewlett

Youngstown, OH (WYTV) – Quarterback Antwan Harris and running back Tyler Hewlett accounted for four touchdowns as Fitch defeated East, 30-14 Saturday at Rayen Stadium.

After exchanging possessions in the first quarter, the Falcons struck first with a four yard touchdown run by Hewlett. Harris pounded in the 2-point conversion to make it 8-0 early.

The Panther offense were able to extend drives with several fourth down conversions, but failed to make it to the endzone in the first half. Then, on third and goal from the 17 yard line, Hewlett scored again to make it a 15-0 game at halftime.

The Falcons would strike again with Harris in the third quarter to extend their lead to 23-0. East scored twice late to make things interesting, including a 27 yard pass by Bobby Jefferson. But with 1:07 left, Harris found Nate Stevens for another touchdown to seal the deal.

Fitch improves to 6-1 on the season, while East falls to 1-6.
