Power restored in Trumbull County

Power outage

BOARDMAN (WYTV) — Thousands of customers were without power this afternoon in parts of Trumbull County.

The outage happened about 3 p.m. affecting nearly 4,500 residents in Cortland, and Bazetta and Howland townships.

According to an Ohio Edison spokesman, they believe an animal came in contact with a substation – causing it to shut off.

Power was restored just before 5 p.m.
