Springfield rolls over United in Sectionals

Salem, OH (WYTV) – The Springfield volleyball team jumped out to an early lead and didn’t look back in a 3-0 win over United at Salem High School.

Springfield won 25-14, 25-22, and 25-18 to improve to 13-10 on the season. The Tigers came in as the sixth seed in the Sectional Tournament, and will now face third-seeded South Range Thursday at 7 p.m.

Junior Kasey Kohler and senior Elizabeth Thompson led the way with 8 kills apiece. Junior Quinn Crowe also added 7 kills for the winners.

United finishes the season at 8-15, and were led by juniors Shelby Mix and Logan Daggy with 8 kills apiece.
