WADSWORTH, Ohio (WYTV) – Marlington scored the game-winning goal with less than thirty seconds left in double-overtime to send the Poland boys to a 2-1 defeat in the Division II Soccer Regional Semifinals at Art Wright Stadium in Wadsworth.

It was the Bulldogs’ first trip to Regionals since 2005.

Trailing 1-0 with under a minute to play in the second half, Poland’s Joe Shields found the back of the net to tie things at 1-1.

It stayed that way until double-OT, when Marlington’s Zack Zigler¬†scored to end the game.

The Bulldogs’ season comes to an end with a record of 13-4-4.
