FitzGerald makes final push for votes in Niles

Ed FitzGerald stops in Niles

NILES, Ohio (WYTV) –  Democratic candidate for governor Ed FitzGerald was making a last push for votes on Tuesday at the Niles United Methodist Church.

Recent polls have shown him far behind incumbent Gov. John Kasich. FitzGerald made his way across the state and finished up his day in Columbus.

“Ohio, despite what the governor says, is not doing that great economically. The Valley is still suffering and we have spent a lot of time here, as you know, and we didn’t want to wrap up our final tour without being here one more time,” FitzGerald said.

Fitzgerald’s campaign suffered a number of setbacks, including that he lacked a permanent driver’s license for about a decade.
