Sept. 12 – West Middlesex, 47-20
…Eric Lucich ran for 227 yards on 21 carries and scored 4 touchdowns on the ground as the Big Reds went onto a 47-20 victory. West Middlesex outgained Farrell, 437-249.

Farrell has won five consecutive games including last week’s 24-20 win over Lakeview. The Steelers were 3-3 on October 4.

The Big Reds have been riding a long winning streak as well – 6 games. Throughout that stretch, West Middlesex has averaged 46.2 points and has allowed just 8.8. Coach Ed Roberson’s group was defeated early in the season by Lakeview and Sharpsville by a combined 9 points.

The Big Reds have won the last four meetings with Farrell. The Steelers still hold a 9-5 advantage in the series. In their only other district playoff matchup, West Middlesex knocked out Farrell in the 2012 district semifinal, 42-0.
