…Hickory was held to 203 yards of total offense, an average of 3.6 yards per offensive play from scrimmage. The Hornets turned the ball over 3 times in their 14-7 loss to the Rockets.

Noteworthy
Slippery Rock has been put to the test by the remaining three teams in the District 10 playoffs (Greenville, Sharon, Hickory). In those contests, the Rockets have won by an average margin of 9 points. In their other eight games, Slippery Rock has won by an average margin of 34 points.

Hickory jumped out to a 4-0 start before stumbling against Slippery Rock (14-7) and Greenville (13-10) in back-to-back weeks. However, since their mishap with Greenville, the Hornets have averaged 44.5 points and have won four straight.
