…The Blue Devils held Wilmington to 5 first downs and 74 total yards of offense during their week nine, 40-0, win which turned Region 1 upside down and caused a five-way first-place tie. Sharpsville’s Greg Popatak scored on three separate touchdown runs.

Noteworthy
Sharpsville began the season with a 5-0 record outscoring their opponents by a combined total of 190-35. However, since week five, the Blue Devils have split their six games (3-3).

Wilmington opened the campaign with a 4-1 mark but have lost three of their last five contests by allowing 108 points to be scored in those three losses.
