NORTH LIMA, Ohio (WYTV) – A North Lima woman is in the Mahoning County Jail after police say she fired a gun at her husband.

Beaver Township police arrested Elizabeth Schuster, 45, Saturday after she admitted to firing a pistol at her husband, John Wayne Schuster, 45, during a fight.

According to a police report, officers were called to the couple’s home just after midnight Friday at 13498 South Avenue where they found Schuster and her husband. Schuster told police she fired the 9mm semi-automatic pistol at her husband, but the man denied his wife did anything.

Police conducted a gun residue test on Schuster and confiscated the gun and a bullet at the scene.

Schuster was arrested and booked in to the Mahoning County. A formal complaint was filed in Mahoning County Court on Monday charging Schuster with felonious assault and domestic violence.
