Brookfield Conservation Club hosts archery course

BROOKFIELD, Ohio (WYTV) — The Brookfield Conservation Club hosted an archery course on Sunday for area kids.

The goal is to see whether they might be interested in the sport.

The event was all about the basics of using a bow and arrow.

As organizers indicated, the students learn a lot more than how to shoot.

“They begin to learn how to follow rules and that’s really important, not only for this but throughout life,” said instructor Jerry Usselman.

The local course is sponsored by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

In case anyone missed Sunday’s event, there will be another archery course held early next year.
