Man found dead in Youngstown

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) — A Cleveland man was shot to death early Sunday outside a motorcycle club and police said witnesses are being uncooperative, which is hindering the investigation.

A police report states that officers responded to the area of East Midlothian Boulevard and Southern Boulevard about 4 a.m. after the Youngstown Police Department’s shot spotter system indicated multiple gunshots in the area. The officer said a large crowd of people had gathered in the parking lot of 104 E. Midlothian Blvd. and several of them were surrounding a person on the ground.

Police said the man, identified as Bryant Abercrombie, 47, was lying on his back and had a single gunshot wound to his head. The report states Abercrombie was found about 20 feet away from the business’s back door.

Police said the crowd began to throw things and become violent, and witnesses were being uncooperative. They said they believe Abercrombie was in a fight at the club before the shooting.

The homicide still is under investigation.
