YSU union to vote on contract

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) — After months of working without a union contract, the faculty at YSU is one step closer to having one.

On Monday afternoon, the YSU faculty union will vote on a tentative deal with the university.

The vote is set for 3:15 at Butler North.

Earlier this month, the YSU Board of Trustees voted unanimously to approve the agreement. The big sticking point for the union is healthcare costs and raises.

The vote is set to wrap up at 6 p.m.
