Rescue Mission prepares Thanksgiving meals

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – The Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley has been preparing Thanksgiving meals since September.

Today, workers and volunteers were busy serving turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and all the fixings to those less fortunate.

The mission said they will end up serving over a thousand people since yesterday, which is when they opened up their kitchen for Thanksgiving meals.

“We couldn’t do what we do without the volunteers,” Rescue Mission Volunteer Supervisor Robbie Jones said. “We have volunteers in every aspect of our ministry, so they are a vital importance to us.”
