Police: Girl, 13, arrested after cutting brother’s coat

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – A 13-year-old girl was arrested on Thanksgiving after police said she threatened her brother with a knife.

Police were called to the 400 block of Woodside Avenue around noon Thursday for a reported domestic incident involving a knife. The man told officers his 13-year-old daughter was arguing with her brother.

The girl’s brother told officers he was playing a video game when his sister came into his room and started arguing with him. He said he left the room and his sister grabbed a knife out of the kitchen and came after him as if she was going to stab him, the police report said.

He said his sister then grabbed his coat and started cutting it. She was taken to the Juvenile Justice Center.
