Aldridge playing a key role for Davidson

DAVIDSON, North Carolina (WYTV) – Peyton Aldridge has not only played in all 5 games so far this season for Davidson as a freshman, he’s started each contest and has logged the third most minutes (25.4 mpg). Aldridge has averaged 12 points a game and leads the team in three-point shooting (52.9%) and rebounding (6.8 rpg).

The Wildcats are 4-1 as they’ve outscored the opposition by 20 points a game (85.4 to 65.0). Their only loss was an 18-point setback against North Carolina last Saturday (90-72).

Davidson is coached by Bob McKillop, who has led the Wildcats since 1989. McKillop has won 20 or more games in 8 of the last 10 seasons. His record is 476-293 over the last 26 seasons.

Next up for Davidson is a home meeting against Charlotte on Wednesday (Dec. 3) at 7 pm.
