The Steelers will drop down from Region 5 (AAA) to play in Region 1 (A) this winter. Farrell will be without the likes of Ike Jones (11.8 ppg, 6.5 rpg), Dewayne Burns (5.3 ppg), Chris James (12.6 ppg, 2.7 apg), Tyrone Archie (6.8 ppg, 7.2 rpg) and Clifton McNair (9.0 ppg, 3.3 rpg) this season.

The Steelers will welcome back their senior guard Jamel Brown, who has scored 463 points and has dished out 201 assists over the course of the last two years. Last year, he averaged 8.4 points and amassed a team-high 5.2 assists per game. A pair of junior guards – Malik Miller and Terrance Holloway – also will be back in the fold. Miller has always been a reliable shooter especially at the free throw line. Malik has netted 73 of 97 foul shots (75.3%) and made 80 three-pointers during his time on the varsity level. Holloway came into his own last year by averaging 3.5 points and 2.3 rebounds after seeing limited action as a freshman in 2012-13.

Coach Shannonhouse’s teams have won 20 or more games five times in eleven seasons. Farrell’s 2014-15 campaign begins with a matchup at home against Wilmington on December 9.
