YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – Christmas arrived a little early for some local children on Tuesday.
The Youngstown Lions Club hosted its annual Christmas party at the Saxon Club. The event was for visually impaired and special needs students from across the area.
The children who attended got a chance to meet Santa and even take home a present.
“For a lot of the kids, it is just excitement. It is just crazy and fun. And some of these children realistically don’t get any other presents,” Patti Atwood of the Youngstown Lions Club said.
About 118 children got a chance to attend Tuesday’s party. This was the 94th straight year for the event.
