New Middletown man hits it big in lottery scratch-off

NEW MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – A New Middletown resident has thousands in extra cash after winning big in an Ohio Lottery scratch off game.

Martin Best will get $355,000 of a $1 million prize after playing Ohio Lottery’s 40th Anniversary Millions instant game.

Best could have received $40,000 a year for 25 years totaling $1 million but chose the cash option. He will receive $355,000 after federal and state taxes totaling 29 percent.

Best purchased the ticket from East Point Place, 8828 Youngstown Pittsburg Road in Poland.
