Strong 2nd half pushes Newton Falls girls

NEWTON FALLS, Ohio (WYTV) – A 21-10 advantage in the second half proved to be the difference in Newton Falls’ 38-30 season opening victory over Brookfield. Gabby Kline led the Lady Tigers with 20 points on 5 of 10 shooting from the field and 9 of 13 from the foul line.

Newton Falls as a team shot 4 of 10 from three-point range and was 12 for 19 on their charity attempts.

Brookfield was paced by Brooke Hiner, who scored 10 points (4 of 8 from the floor). Destiny May and Autumn Kirila scored 6 and 5 points apiece.
