Trumbull inmates face discipline after disturbance

Several police departments were called to the Trumbull County Jail in Warren, Ohio.

WARREN, Ohio (WYTV) – A disturbance at the Trumbull County Jail Tuesday night has more than a dozen inmates facing disciplinary action.

Police from local departments were called to the jail around 11 p.m. after an inmate became agitated saying he didn’t get the medication he wanted.

An official at the jail said the incident prompted about 14 other inmates in the cell pod to act out, which forced guards to call for backup from Warren, Howland and Cortland police departments.

All inmates finally went back to their cells without incident. The whole ordeal lasted only about 30 minutes.

The inmates will face disciplinary action.
