ORWELL, Ohio (WYTV) – Grand Valley’s Jessica Vormelker made a total of 14 field goals to score 31 points in the Lady Mustangs’ 57-45 victory over Badger. Vormelker also finished with 6 rebounds and 5 steals. Also contributing for the 4-2 Mustangs was Shar Miller who posted a double-double (12 points, 10 rebounds) after shooting 5 of 7 from the floor.
Badger had three players score 12 points – Taylor Kramar, Harlee Logan, and Izabella Armstrong. The Lady Braves outrebounded Grand Valley, 38-26. However, Badger turned the ball over 27 times compared to just 12 by the Mustangs.
The Braves (3-3) will try and end their two-game losing skid when they welcome Lordstown on Thursday. Grand Valley will play host to Southington in three days.
