HUBBARD, Ohio (WYTV) – Hubbard police saved a woman who they say was being strangled by her ex-boyfriend when they arrived.
Amato Zaccone Jr., 54, was charged with felonious assault and domestic violence.
According to a police report, the victim told police Zaccone held her hostage in her Jacobs Road apartment for two days, beating and hitting her. At one point he held a knife to her throat.
Zaccone is in the Trumbull County jail on $107,000 bond.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 24. at 9 a.m.
