Rust Belt artists hold Last Minute Market

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) —¬†Artists of the Rust Belt held its Last Minute Market at the B and O Station for anyone still looking for the perfect holiday gift.

Over the course of two days there were more than 400 customers who came looking for unique pieces made by about 40 local and regional artists.

The executive director of Rust Belt, Tony Nichols, said the sale is a way to support local arts and commerce.

“Just to promote the arts in the area. There’s a wealth of talent that’s out here. The more I’ve done this, the more people I meet that are creative that need an outlet,” said Nichols.

Although the Christmas shows are wrapped up, there are more opportunities to support regional artists.

Rust Belt is planning shows this coming February and next summer.
