New plans for Tyson mansion

SOUTHINGTON, Ohio (WYTV) – The mansion once occupied by boxer Mike Tyson will soon be a place of worship.

According to the Tribune Chronicle, the 25,000-square-foot house in Southington is being donated to Living Word Sanctuary.

Living Word says it plans to use the long-vacant mansion for weekly services, vacation bible school and nature activities.

Renovation should begin in the spring.

The current owner bought the property in 2010 in a sheriff’s sale for about $600,000.
